Business association president Bill Irwin explained that it is the organization's hope to tie the revitalization work in with the proposed enhancement at the foot of 14th Street to mark West Van- couver’s 75th birthday. The association intends to set up a consultant’s headquarters at 1375 Marine Drive, in space donated by local businessman Ping Yee. This storefront office ‘‘will be open to the public to encourage community involvement in the design process,’’ said Irwin. “Onur heart is in this,’’ Irwin told council. Although the district will pay for the $25,000 concept plan, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs will be asked to provide a grant for the same amount. The portion not funded will be shared 50-50 between the municipality and the association. senior citizens to keep pets in pet- prohibited buildings would only lead to discrimination. “There are people who do not want to live in a building with pets,”” Agledal said. ‘‘It’s going to go against seniors because landlords won’t take them.” _Ald.
