Mayor Derrick Hum- phreys made that clear Mon- day night as West Van- couver council dealt with a petition from the residents asking that the street, which provides public access to the beach, be upgraded. Residents would like to see a small park developed on the area while West Van- couver’s official stand is that the area will be blacktopped as a parking lot. Humphreys, who said the issue has been debated “ad nauseam”, called on the neighbors to get together and agree on what they want to see as far as parking is concerned. “We'd be pleased to con- sider this once there is some form of unanimity,” Hum- phreys said.
