Marguerite Dehler, who considers herself a con- temporary classicist, was Simon Fraser University's Quartet-in-Residence, the Purcell String Quartet, will present a program of works by Mozart and Shosta- kovitch with Linda Lee Thomas, well-known Van- couver pianist, Friday. She has been sirongly influenced by George Braques’ Musical Forms, as well as Picasso,and her work W.J. Baker, national reputation for excellence and willingness to perform works by new and established Canadian composers. Canadian pianist Linda Lee Thomas has been des- cribed as “the perfect embodiment of the artist musician, a performer whose work is always informed by intelligence, sensitivity and artistry” (Max Wyman). The Quartet will perform two piano quintets with Ms. Thomas, Shostakovich’'s Piano Quintet and Mozart's Piano Quintet in G minor.
