A24-Sunday News, November 9, 1980 Opposition voiced to | Lynn Valley housing proposal Two residents opposed the rezoning of 3321 Mountain Highway from single-family residential to high-density residential at a North Van District public hearing Monday. District Planner Kai Kreuchan told Council that the applicant Marbar Holdings proposes a 36 unit two bedroom, townhouse project for the site which is slightly over an acre and presently occupied by a house. He pointed out that the plan was in accordance with the Lynn Valley Community Plan. Mayor Don Council that the Advisory Planning Commission comphmented the architect Kingsley Lo on the un- derground parking, and the Advisory Design Panel liked the imaginative design of the townhouse units. Marbar representative Doug Shaw told Council he was “pleased with the proposal which was in a class by itself for the area”.
