Asa regular attendee at most Council meet
ings I can assure the citizens of the city that
Maver Loucks continues to do an exemplary
job in running the city’s business. Facing coun-
cillors with the di mots they have, |
marvel at his ability to brain the consensus
whereby over 70% ofthe “s agenda is passed
unanimous!

Last Saturday I walked the clitts of Lynn
Valley.

Tsaw the two-day-old memorial for a 13-
year-old boy created by his friends. [ saw the

pathy for anyone who was even contemplating
such’a ridiculoas act!

Perhaps [ should blame the bystanders
(mostly adults!) who cheer on these kids. |
heard clapping and cheering after jumps. |

heard words bke “Impressive!” and ‘Jamp!
being yelled. With these encouragements, the
kids moved to higher ground for more daring

son, His first and last jump was one of the
same. Shertly after he jumped, he watched
another kid get pulled from the water after
drowning. He never went to jamp again!
