THE Ferry Building
Gallery has declared
February the “love of
fabric art” month.

The gallery is showing its
affection for the craft through
lectures, studio tours and an
exhibition.

The bus tour (Feb. 14)
and Ruth Scheuing’s lecture
(Feb. 13) have passed. But
two lectures — by fellow
artists Lesley Richmond (Feb.
27), and Barbara Heller and
Kaija Rautianen (Feb. 27) —
remain. Lectures are $15 at
the Silk Purse Gallery, 7:30 to
9 p.m. both nights. Register
by calling 925-7270.

Feb. 25 to March 9 are the
dates of an exhibition of work
by recent alumni of Capilano
College’s textile arts pro-

gram.

show, which opens with an
artists’ dialogue on Feb. 25 at

cuss their craft on March 4 at
