work hard, study well, and believe
in the value of work, a committee
of parents and teachers recently
reported to West Vancouver's
District 45 School Board.

The committee, chaired by assis-
tant superintendent Bob
Overgaard, also found that ‘‘pro-
fessional staff...are experienced,
well-qualified, and engage in active
professional development, building
on performance that is already
high.”

school administrators has spent the
last two months evaluating and in-
terpreting the findings and has
drafted recommendations for the
board and the public.

Nearly 70 per cent of the 1987
secondary school graduates are
studying at post-secondary institu-
tions, the study found.
