STUDENTS REWARDED The five students, repre- senting all levels of public education, were rewarded for their efforts with seasons passes to Expo. Grade 3 Norgate student Paula Bodnaruk says she has been interested in art for - three years and will use her Expo pass to go on the rides at the world’s fair. Kevin Leung, a grade 9 student from Seycove, will use his pass to see all the cars and ships at Expo as well. as check out the McDonald’s McBarge. He also wants to test the food from all the other countries which will be represented at Expo. i RAISE MONEY While the winners of the banner contest have been chosen, the North Van- couver Expo Committee is still trying to raise money through sponsorships in order to cover the cost of printing and erecting the banners. “The sponsors’ logos will be seen at the bottom of each Gateway to Expo ban- ner and will be displayed throughout the district and city,"’ said Expo Commit- tee’s public relations officer Doug Loblaw. ‘‘The banners will decorate 300 lamp posts on North Vancouver's major Streets beginning in May, 1986."” “Only a few sponsorships remain to be sold at a cost of $3,000 for 10 banners.”* Anyone interested in sponsoring a banner can contact Doris Wilson at 985-7761.
