Colts owner Grant Johnson refuted reports say- ing the Dynamos were awarded two points when his team failed to show for the game in Nanaimo and that they could field a team, He also took offence to his team being labelled ‘‘the financially-troubled Colts.” ‘Number one, Nanaimo hasn't been awarded two points,"’ said Johnson. ‘The league will decide if two points are awarded.”' Johnson says he was ad- vised by Allen Clark, a league official, that his team shouldn't travel to Nanaimo for the game. It wasn’t a question the Colts couldn't field a team, said Johnson, rather they didn't because they were told not to. “Mm tired of hearing of financial troubles,’’ said Johnson. ‘The club has fulfilled its commitments to the player and the league. We haven't missed a game, | “We don’t need any nega- tive talk at this point -- we're trying to build something here. Johnson said this issues would be further aired at league meeting scheduled for Tuesday night. The Colts were in fourth place of the Pacific Rim Soccer League, one point behind Victoria before Saturday nights game. They were scheduled to play the Vancouver Columbus. The club hosted a tour- nament earlier in the sum- mer in which they came out on top of the game but took a loss financially.
