WESTOVER ELEMEN-
TARY in Lynn Valley had its
community school status ex-
tended for another five years
Tuesday night, but funding
for its half ume community
school coordinator in 1985 is
sull in question.

North Vancouver School
Trustees unanimously agreed
to extend the status, but they
included in the motion that
funding could be withdrawn.
In the 1984 budget communi-
ty school coordinator’s posi-
uions were cut back to half
time and with the prospect of
further budget decreases in
1985, the positions could be
completely cut.

said.

Goodman was concerned
that the District’s Communi-
ty School - Budget remained
the same in 1984 as it was in
1983, despite the cut in com-
munity school coordinators.

Superintendent of Schools
Rod Wickstrom explained
that the coordinators were
still working on a full time
basis, but half of their duties
now were in support of
regular curriculum.
