Isabelle (nee Manners) passed aw:

peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital if
December 17, 1996, surrounded by
famity. Bors May 20, 1932, Lana
was a lifelong resident of the North
Shore, except for five cherished
chitdhood years in Bratorne, B.C.
Predeceased by her parents Ben and
Gladys Manners (nee Paine). She
witl be deeply missed by her hus-
band, recently retired North Van-
couver District Mayor J. Murray
Dykeman; her daughter Diana and
son-in-law Rick Tumet, and their
three children Jordan, Kara and
Alana; her daughter Oonna
Dykeman; and her son jim and
daughter-in-law Avon Dyheman. She
alsa feaves her only sister, Florence
any brother-in-law Gordon
Soderstrom, and their children and -
grandchildren. Also left are much
Joved aunts, uncles and cousins in
Canada and the United States, in-
cluding Flo Watson, Bernice Abbott,
Betsy and Bob Williams and all the
“American Cousins.” Lorna will be
fondly remembered by her many
friends from North Van High, St.
Paul's Nursing and her community
activities throughout "the years.
Everyone will miss her kindness,
sense of humour and no-nonsense
approach to life and its challenges.

The family is grateful for the effots_

of the doctors, nurses and caregivers
who worked so hard for her, and for
the fove and support from everyone
in “the family of friends.” Lorna
thought you were all just wonderful.
A memorial service and celebration
of Lorna's life will be held at 2 p.m.
on Saturday, December 28 at St.
Catherine's Anglican Church, 1058
Ridgewood, North Vancouver (near
Edgemont Village). Flowers are grate-
