Today the corapany
employs 25 people, has a fleet
of six trucks (all painted in a
quite distinctive bubble gum-
pink color), in addition to a
kitchen operation on Charles
Street under the Second
Narrows Bridge.

The kitchen was Munday’s
idea. Prior to 1992, the compa-
ny would prepare and produce
all their meals in the tight con-
fines of their three mobile
kitchens.

Once taking over, Munday
saw an opportunity to offset

the up-and-down nutum of the
film industry by establishing a
catering service.

Hence the need for a
kitchen-base.

With their solid experience
of on-the-road service,
Munday says Reel Appetites
can offer fine food service at
the most unlikely of places (i.e.
a wedding at the top of
Seymour Mountain, a bar
mitzvah on a West Vancouver
beach).

Who said food on the run
can’t be adventurous.
