About a third of the way down from the suspension bridge to the salt water, says Hill, they found a sheepskin suede jacket and a pair of jeans. David Riley, still in the Vancouver area, has not been able to make a positive identification on the clothing, says Hill. “He thinks there was a slight difference on the jacket,” he says. The divers had been unable to check the river early because of high water levels caused by the recent heavy rains. They will not be checking the river area again, says “They have searched the river and if there was anything else in there they would have found it. There is sure nothing in that river.” Mill agrees a body might well have been washed into the ocean but says police are ing no assumptions that ’ that is the case. “Until we have a body we cannot be sure she went into the river,” he says.
