THE following is a list of some recent North Vancouver automobile break ins. NORTH VANCOUVER R.C.M.P. November 6 1. 200-bIk. W. 3rd. Police called to scene of a car break in. Suspects stole $3000-worth of tools and painting equipment overnight. October 21 2. 1000-bik. Premier St. Woman called police at 12:10 a.m. stating she could see two males checking out parked vehicles with a flash- light and who seemed to have a car parked close by. Police arrived, found sus- pects gone and no suspicious venicle located. 3. 200-bik. W. Keith An expensive box liner stolen from a pick up truck. 4. 2000-blk. Lonsdale Suspects gained = entry through passenger — door. Photos, videos, — pictures stolen. 5. 500-bik. Lonsdale . Entry through drivers side door. First aid kit and cash taken. 6. 1200-blk Shavington Passenger door jimmied. The passenger seat, CD play- er and car alarm system were all stolen. Well over $1000- worth of property October 20 7. £300-bik Parkgate Police called to residence at 4:30 p.m.. A vehicle had been broken into and stereo stolen. Suspects gained access through trunk. Wallet with credit cards and cash taken. 10. 1400 blk. Sutherland ‘chicle broken into in the afternoon. Entry gained by taking out dvor lock. G bag with owner's. [1 clothes etc. taken. The police want to remind people to not leave valuables in their cars. The above incidents are just 10 of many thefts from vehicles in a short time peri- od. The thief looks inside first, if he sees something attractive he will take it, damaging vour car ins the attempt. Park your car in a well-lit area if possible. Leaving bags, brief ¢ and packs in the car is in ing trouble. It is sad to say, but we live in a society in which some people have no respect for other's property. Punishinent for those caught is minor and does not deter them. DEEP COVE LIFEBOAT SOCIETY October 30 11.Burrard Inter The Deep Cove lifeboat was called out by Rescue Co- ordination Centre, Victoria at 12:17 p.m. to search for 2 suspected capsized vessel one quarter mile cast of Roche Point. The lifeboat searched for over one hour but found nothing.
