Calder is the chief execu- tive officer oof — the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Bid Corporation. Calder, who appeared before North Vancouver District council on Nov. 13, said the games could gener- ate approximately 25,000 jobs and over $1.2 billion in revenue, However, as Coun. Bill Denault pointed out, it would also bring increased, traffic volume to. the} Vancouver area. The. region already can barely handle is} traffic. Calder spoke to the coun- cillors to keep them updated on the bid corporation's planning developments. He said the group is look- ing at community facilities in the Vancouver area for the various ice events. i.
