A heavy-sct intoxi- cated native male yelled and screamed and hit customers with his knapsack. When RCMP officers arrived suspect boarded ‘west-bound _ bus. Police stopped bus, men ran - off through middle doors and police gave chase. It took three officers to subdue him. July 6 §. 300-blk. East 2nd Street Camper on fire. ‘Police arrived to find camper com- pletely engulfed in flames. Fire department arrived and put out the blaze. Recovered: 1986 Mercedes. 10. 100-bik. West Esplanade Recovered stolen auto. Vehicle discovered in under- ground lot. Ignition punched. Vehicle stolen from UBC area on May 25. Recovered: 1988 Toyota van. 13. Lions Gate Hospital Psychiatric patient missing from hospital. Police conduct- ed patrols and located the mate in the 260-blk. Ease iSth Street. He was returned with- out incident. 12. West 3rd Street and Chesterfield Theft. RCMP officer observed a man being chased from a small convenience store by a store employee. The officer was able to stop the fleecing suspect. The 54- year-old male had a bag of sugar under his shirt. He was arrested for theft. His criminal record goes back to 1973 and has 27 convictions on it, 17 of them are theft related. 13. Highland Blvd. and Belmont Two vehicle motor vehicle accident. Two people injured and $10,00C@ in damages done. One vehicle turned left off of Highland onto Belmont striking a northbound vehicle. One driver charged. 14, North Shore Winter Club Complaint of noisy teens in the underground parking lot. Police detained two males, one 18-year-old and one 15-year-old. A hash pipe and two joints of marijuana were seized. No charges laid. . July 7 15. 160-bik. Lonsdale Ave. 9-1-1 call received from female. She stated she had just shot up heroin and needed help. Police found her sitting by che: pay phone she called from: The 16-year-old - girl was a runaway from her foster home. She was also in breech of court-ordered conditions. She was in possession of two: needles, one freshly used.
