Sexual Assault case where
information regarding the
identity of the accused is be-
ing shielded by the courts.
From the articles by Tim
Renshaw that have been
printed in the News and the
closed mouth policy of the
courts, along with the rela-
tively light slap on the wrist

Dear Editor:

I was a patient in Lions
Gate Hospital recently and |
am writing to express my
thanks and gratitude for the
wonderful and kind care
that I received while I was in
there. The doctors, nurses
and all the rest of the
hospital staff were just fan-
tastic, so once again my
heartfelt thanks to each and
everyone of you people.
Everyone was always so
pleasant.

I was a police officer in
the City of Calgary for seven
years, and due to my experi-
ence with the court system,
and the politics which is
present in the police
department, 1 realized that 1
could no longer fool myself
in believing that | was doing
anything positive for myself
or others, so I quit.

From your article and a
suspicious feeling that I

have, it is my opinion that
you are right. | wait with
great interest in finding out
who the accused is in this
case.

Please keep up the good
work, and don't get
discouraged,

My only hope is that
justice in this country turns
around soon before it
becomes a figment of
everyones’ imagination.
