Food outlets on the North Shore who displayed bulk bread and buns were ordered last fall by the North Shore Health Department to discontinue ‘this form of merchandising because of certain health regulations. Other bulk foods were also restricted in these stores for the same reasons. In February when a par- ticular food store opened up on the North Shore, namely Save-on-Foods, all the ex- isting rules and regulations suddenly became obsolete. It seems that this food outlet must really have done some work in connection with certain government people to have achieved such a feat.
