swimmer broke the world
record for the 100 metre
butierfly in the heats—then
went on to better it in the
Short Course Winter Nat-
ional swim championships.

The previous world record.
of 55.08 had been set earlier.

tangle with either Prince
George or Fort St. John in
the final of the Coy Cup, the
B.C. senior amateur hockey
crown.
