JULY sales of B.C. residential
property through the
Multiple Listing Service con-
tinued to show improvement
over sales for the same month
last year.

The report, issued by the
British Columbia Real Estate
Association (BCREA), reveals
thar 5,699 residential proper-
ties changed hands during the
month. An increase of 164
over the same period last year.

BCREA president, Doug
Perry, notes that July marks
the seventh straight month
that residential sales have
shown .an increase over the
year before.

“What is pleasing to sec,”
Mr. Perry says, “is that the
increase in sales is the result of
normal market activity and
not: something driven by
speculsiion.”

rate,” he says, “buyers are
wise to shop around and
