WHAT happens when

trust with your life,
betrays you, wants to
kill you, then ends up
being the only one
sworn to protect you?

Adam Sandler and
Damon Wayans make a
hilarious duo in Biséletproof.
I’ve never seen a restricted
comedy before, but
Bulletproof set a high stan-
dard. I’ve also never seen a
movie on a Wednesday, and
to my surprise there were
only about nine people in
the theater, including the
five of us. ;

Bulletproof is a comedy
about betrayal. Archie
Moses (Sandler) plays a
criminal whose best friend,
Rock Keats (Wayans), is an
undercover cop. Keats plays
Moses’ best friend for a
year, trying to get close
enough to get information
about a big drug deal.

When Keats is finally led to
the big deal, it’s bigger than
he could have ever predict-
ed,

Everything goes haywire
and Moses accidentally
shoots Keats in the head.
Moses gets away and Keats
(after recuperation and
some therapy) has to go and
bring him in.

This is a comedy match
made in heaven, Sandler
and Wayans give a wonder-
fully amusing performance,
which kept the entire audi-
ence both laughing and at
the edge of their seats, all
nine of us who were there
anyway. Bulletproof has a
clever and original plot,
which isn’t just used as a

string holding together a
few one-liners.

Not only is the plot clev-
erly written, but there are
some incredible action shots
as well, The digital sound of
the music backing the car
chase at the beginning
grabbed our attention, and
the acting, plot, and humor
held it to the end.

Bulletproof is a refreshing
mix of both comedy and
action. Just when the sus-
pense starts to become
overwhelming, laughter
breaks the tension, and just

-when you stop laughing,

something makes you jump
out of your seat.

corny ending that most

comedies suffer from,
Bulletproof fulfilled all my
expectations.

It was sort of like Happy
Gilmore meets Bad Boys. !
strongly recommend this
movie to anyone, especially
if they*re a big Sandler or
Wayans faa. And if you
don’t like long lines at the
concession stand, and would
like your choice of any of
the many seats in the the-
atre, may | also suggest you
go on a Wednesday.

It’s only about three dol-
lars more than Tuesdays.
