NORTH SHORE

The Community Coordinator Is a Ternporary Full-Time position (to be
reviewed annually) responsible for helping. the North Shore Regional Health
Planning Committee in carrying our New Directions in. Health Care on the
North Shore. The Community Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating
community involvement in the regionalization process, developing a
process of regular communication with tne community, and helping to
develop a close working relationship between the health sector and agen-
cies whose work atfects the health of North Shore residents. The Community
Coordinator will provide planning expertise and staff support to the Planning
support development of a governance structure for health ser-
vice delivery on the North Shore and coordinate a process of community
involvement with open communications.

Preference will be given to candidates having post secondary or Graduate
Degree in Health/Public Administration, or Social Planning. Relevant experi-
-ence as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities is
essential. The ability to deal effectively with local community members and
health service providers is critical. The successful candidate will be a skilled
facilitator and consensus builder with extensive experience in community

He/She must also. be able to analyze, information and suggestions from
diverse sources, presenting It in coherent, logical reports with recommenda-
tions to the Planning Committee, A comprehensive remuneration package
