Following the public hearings, the proponent suggested several scaled-down versions of the 26-unit project. A new 16-unit proposal will be introduced at the July 10 council meeting and be the subject of a new public hearing on July 24. Plans are available for viewing at the district Hall. 106 Kings Road at the corner of Lonsdale is. a site under redevelopment discussion. : The proposal is for 19 units of luxury condominium space and the zoning is in place. IN REVIEW A consultant’s social planning study on unmet housing needs in the municipalit,; was a direct result of the controversy over illegal suites and implementation of the Registered Illegal Suite program. - The findings of that study and recommendations of the consul- tants will be available later this month. The process included random sampling interviews with a number of tenants and landlords, ques- tionnaires to all registered suites and discussion with various indi- viduals and organizations with knowledge and expertise on hous- ing matters.
