FOR GENERATIONS our appreciation of beauty has
been synonymous with youth. But times are changing.
Today, there is a growing realization that a group of
women has been ignored.

The 30-plus woman is finally coming into her own,
and her impact is seen everywhere. The leading ladies
of the 1980s all have one thing in common — they are
over 30 years old. Consider Jane Fonda, Raquel
Welch, Elizabeth Taylor, Meryl Streep, Linda Evans,
Joan Collins — the list goes on.

You don’t need to be a movie or TV star, however,
to have healthy and beautiful-looking skin. Now
there’s a chance for Canada’s over-30 woman to be
recognized for her beauty.

Canada’s Classic Beauty, sponscred by the makers
of Dove beauty bar, will be selected from five regional
winners; one from each of British Columbia, the

Yukon, North West Territories; the Prairies (Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba), Ontario; Quebec; and the
Maritimes.

Each regional winner will be pampered during a
complete beauty makeover, (in her hometown), and
the new look will be captured on film at a
photography session.

The woman selected as Canada’s Classic Beauty will
be awarded a prize package valued at over $5,000 in-
cluding an all-expense-paid two-day trip to Toronto.

This national search runs until June 30. Winners
will be selected by July 15.

Entry forms are available in the beauty bar and
soap section of leading grocery and drug stores across
Canada.
