MEMBERS OF the North Vancouver RCMP frisk Philip Melvin, 48,
of no fixed address, at the corner of 29th Avenue and Lonsdale
around 5 p.m. Monday. Melvin was arrested following a police report
ef a young girl being fondled as she and another girl were playing
together by a city fountain. Melvin was charged with sexual assault
and has been released pending a second court appearance.
