years old, or perhaps seven

or eight, one day I had a very.

sad experience. I can sull
feel what I felt then. I cried.

Pll tell you about it. We
lived in Winnipeg, as I had
done all my life, and it was
summer hohdays. Most of
the kids 1 hung out with
seemed to be away at
Winnipeg Beach or Kenora
or someplace.

I had run out of things to
do and was bored. 1 had my
bike but I had no bright
ideas about where to go. So,

It seems obvious that our
prejudices are contagious. |
