She has one other thing in common with McPhail: the same owner. Both Sonia Rykiel and Takezo share owners and, as Farhoosh can attest, employces, The Capilano College student splits her time between the two stores. “1 like clothing stores ~ it’s a bit quiet but it’s okay,” said Farhoosh who can probably busy herself with schoal work when boredom sets in. Farhoosh arrived in Canada from her native Iran 3% years ago and, save fora slight accent, doesn’t seem to have missed a beat. “It’s good,” she said of her adopted country. Go west young girl By the time Donna Sinclair turned: 16 she had seen enough pictures of the west coast to want to leave her native Estevan, Saskatchewan behind. And she did. - “When I was a young girl 1 remember secing people at the beach in May and I’m just a beach girl,” said Sinclair. . She has since lived in Australia, raised four sons and returned to open her own hair salon. “T love being here — I like my corner,” she said of her location. But all good things must come to an end and her location is no exception as her lease will soon run out. Her plans call for relocating in an adjacent building that has yer to be built. .
