water, perhaps, but with the
sun in full glory it is a tough
place to beat,

A chair on the Sundowner
sundeck, a chilled glass of
crisp chardonnay, a half
dozen o sters on the half
shell and you've got yourself
areal slice of West Coast par-
adise.

New Sundowner owner
John Daigle, a former restau-
rateur from the Alberta bad-
lands, surely would agree.

No match for it east of

__the Rockies.

Perhaps that’s why the
Sundowner has survived the»
past 27 years in such an out -
