FLICKA’S APARNA RAY nar-
rowly missed a bronze medal at
the Canadian Gymnastic Champi-
onships held in Saskatoon. May

Ray, 17, finished in a three-way
tie for fourth piace in the national
open division with a total of
36.900. She led the B.C. open
team to a third-place finish with a
total of 181.350.

She placed seventh on balance
beam with 9.200, cighth on floor
exercise with 9.250 and wen the
choreography award for her floor
rouline, Ray is coached by Janice
Roddie-Fowler.

at a total of 36.900. Shaunna
Bonikowski, 11. finished 13th
overall with 35.950,
