Ministry of Housing at a re- cent convention in Vernon. There was some pretty stiff competition,’’ Kom-Tong said. His company, Modern Tech Construction, has been based in North Vancouver for four years. Kom-Tong only joined the Greater Vancouver Homebuilders Associa- tion four months ago. wins award The 4,700 square foot home that captured the award was designed by Vancouver architect Felix Assoon. The interior was done by West Vancouver interior designer Patricia Coker. The North Vancouver home is noted for its energy efficient features. It is an all-gas appliance home equipped with three gs fireplaces, a gas stove and dryer, patio heater, high efficiency fur- nace and hot water heater. Another novel feature of the Kom-Tong home is a_ garage which is prepiped so that a natural gas vehicle can refuel its tank while parked at home. Kom-Tong credits his wife, Gloria, for helping with the design of the home where the couple now live with their two children, Jason and Jennifer. This is the second distinction the home has received.
