forward-facing ‘‘Xtraseats,’’ an
optional 150 horsepower 3 litre, V6
engine, available on selected 4X2

double-walled construction.

All 1989 Toyota trucks also
feature wider cabs and cargo beds
while the Xtracab model with its
longer cabin now features for-
ward-facing rear jumpseats
(known as ‘‘Xtraseats’’), as stan-
dard on 4X2 SR5 V6 and all 4x4
Xtracab models, or optional on
remaining Xtracab models.

More window glass means a
brighter interior and improved
visibility while Xtracab models are
bright and airy with the added
benefit of a tilt opening rear
quarter window,

The benefit of
noise resulting from the new
aerodynamic body style, is
enhanced by additional silencing
materials in the floor as well as a
more rigid cab design, reinforced
door frames and improved
weatherstripping which all con-
tribute to a quieter riding vehicle.
