The West Vancouver artist, whose works can be found in cor- porate and private collections across Canada and around the world, made history recently when he became the oldest Canadian to undergo a heart transplant. Pratt, a friend of the family, noticed his artistic talent and en- couraged him to explore art. ‘He recognized my _ ability,’ recalled Binkley. ‘‘I've been able to paint and draw ever since | was doing crayon on my mother’s walls."" Working in just about every stone except jade and soapstone, Binkley creates his works to be touched, believing the medium cries out for it.
