But language barriers still pre-
vent many residents of British
Columbia from understanding the
importance of buckling up.

In answer to the needs of
various groups throughout the
province, ICBC is distributing an
information leaflet on the use of
seat-belts, infant and child
restraints.

Written in Punjabi, Chinese,
Vietnamese, Spanish, French and
English, this flyer offers guidelines
on the correct use of seat-belts and
restraints for pregnant women, in-
fants, toddlers and older children.

Produced by ICBC’s Traffic
Safety Education Department, the
guide is available from public
health units throughout the pro-
vince.
