Concert series scheduled

HELPING North Vancouver
to celebrate its 75th An-
niversary, several evenings
of outdoor entertainment
will be sponsored by Cen-
tennial Theatre, North
Vancouver Recreation
Commission and the City of
North Vancouver.

A schedule of these
summertime events follows:

JULY 17: Alex Storie and
his Gathering of the Clans
with Scottish Dancers, Songs
and a Marching Pipe Band
performing traditional
Highland treats.

JULY 24: Sweet Adelines
— Barbershop voices m solo
quartet and chorus
presenting delightful and
familiar showtunes and other
popular songs.

JULY 31: Night on
Broadway — Take a tour
through the highheghts of old-
time and current Broadway
hits and join in the singing
voices and happy feet of
Sinclair Productions’
presentation.

AUG. 7: Anna Wyman

Dance Theatre, just back
from Montreal, will perform
lighter works from their
international-class reper-
toire of contemporary
dance.

AUG. 14: North Van-
couver Youth Band
Highsteppers and Marching
Band will set your feet
tapping with a Summertime
concert of marching
members and pop tunes.

AUG. 21: Gilbert’ &
Sullivan °82 — Norman Slack
brings you an’ evening of
highlights of the most
popular G & S shows. Come
see Nanki-Poo, Little
Buttercup, Koko and many
more perform their most-
loved songs.

MAHON PARK — 16th
and Jones (near the pool).
Bring a blanket or camp
chairs and a picnic hamper
for a family evening of light
entertainment. Cancelled if
