Learn to paint in French or English |

During July and August,
several hundred children
between the ages of seven
and twelve will be given the
run of Presentation House's
professional arts facilities —
the art gallery, recital hall,
and theatre — in a series of
visual and performing arts
workshops. Classes will be
offered in theatre arts,
dance, drawing and pain-
ting, and multi-media arts,
and will be taught by people
who are not only active in
the arts themselves, but have
established a rapport with
children through an

abundance of experience.
Tkere will be ‘ur two-
week sessions, with classes
running Monday through
Thursday mornings. The
two-week sessions will allow
children to become involved
with projects and to learn
new Creative processes and
techniques, without in-
terfering with summer
holiday plans. On the other
hand, those wanting to
participate in more than one
session are encouraged to do
so, and a ten per cent
discount ts offered to anyone
taking mre than one class.

The dates of the sessions are:
July 5-15, July 19-29, August
2-12, and August 16-26.

The last session, August
16-26, will be devoted to arts
workshops in_ French,
designed especially for
students enrolled in French
immersion programs. at
school.

Parents are requested to
register their children to
help ease the anticipated
deluge. The summer arts
coordinator is Susan Trites,
who can be reached at 986-
