PASTRY: 2'% cups flour }'4 cup cold shortening or cold, hard butter 'a cup cold water '4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 egg slightly beaten with 1 spoon water FILLING: 1 large chicken 1 green pepper t can (8 02.) vegetables 1 bottle capers (small bottle) 2 cups butter 4 eggs, hard boiled dash nutmeg 1 onion, chopped 2 stalks celery mixed Make pastry” with ingredients, roll out and chill about ‘2 hour. Can be done one day before. Cut chicken into large pieces. Place in stewing pan with ‘4 cup butter, celery chicken pot pie Roll pastry out think on a slightly floured board. Make double crust, one big and one small, in shape of a baking dish. Make the bottom crusts big enough to hang over the edge of a food and fresh pepper. Cover and simmer until just tender. Remove chicken from pot, cool, cut meat from bones and dice. Saute chopped onion with rest of butter. Combine diced chicken with vegetables and capers.
