Country hoedown!

NORTH SHORE Counselling Centre is holding an old-fashioned country hoedown on Saturday,
Oct. 17 from 6:30 to midnight at Gleneagles Golf Club. The annual ‘‘fun-raiser’’ will include
dinner and dancing with No Mean Feet and caller Cameron Stewart. Tickets are $60 and money
will go towards subsidizing low-income families and individuals who seek help for personal
situations including marita! problems, depression, anxiety and alcoholism.

Air Quality Management Plan forthe region Our
goal, as defined in “Creating our Future,” is to
teduce harmful airemissions in the region by 50%
by the year 2000. ;

“Greater Vancouver. The people on this committee

have come from industry, business, public health
organizations, environmental groups, air-quality
research and senior goverment.

Now we're ready to air
their findings.

October 22 & 23, 8 a.m. te 4 p.m.
