It is your editorial pre-
rogative to endorse the

News, July 10), but it is
misleading to claim that “...

Does anyone remember
an election promise to scrap

commission? Where was the
promise to climinate the
rentalsman’s office?, Who
campaigned with the pledge
to end all job security in the
public sector? The Minister
of Health did say that there
would be no increase in user
fees; did he forget so soon?

I can accept that the
Socreds were given a
mandate to keep the NDP
out of office. I do not believe
they have a mandate to
destroy basic rights.
