Allin W. Van can help The New Year brings hopes and fears for the morrow. We do know that the year will pass by and that we could make it better by our contribution to that year and to ourselves, friends, and neighbors. It could be that this year is one of some economic constraints and belt- tightening, but history has shown us that society is often better off under those cir- cumstances and becomes more real and true than riding on a wave of af- fluence. We have so much to be thankful for that any small stringencies this year are a mere nothing. The taxpayers of West Vancouver will receive the fullest possible value in services for their tax dollar on the municipal level, and I sincerely hope that in the New Year ‘the feeling of community spirit and participation will continue to prevail and widen by and for the residents of West Van- couver.
