covered bridge, 1836 flour

restaurants, is a popular
destination for residents of
the capital region.

An old steam locomotive
takes train loads of visitors
from Ottawa to Wakefield,
during the: summer, for an
interesting 27 km (17 miles)

ride along the Gatineau
River.

_ The Paugan Dam, at Low,
and the underground river,
at Kazabazua, attract many
while the bustling town of
Maniwaki is the starting

expeditions.

At Grand Remous, 167
km (103 miles) from Ottawa,
the highway turns south

Montreal and north toward

Airport are perhaps the most

The Chateau Montebello,
