THE FOURTH Annual
Capilano Coca Cola
Waiters’ Race set the
Capilano Suspension Bridge
swinging on Wednesday,
May 25.

Fifty teams of waiters and
waitresses from 50 North
Shore hotels and restaurants
competec in the annual test
of high altitude waiting
skills and dexterity.

Each team member ran one
length of the 450-foot long bridge,
230 feet above the raging waters of
Capilano River balancing a tray of
Coca Cola Classic.

The competition was won by
Earl's Tin Palace, who beat out
Salmon House on the Hill by two
seconds. Grouse Nest Bistro came
in third.

Points were awarded by totalling
the fastest combined score and the
least spillage and rule infractions.

Prizes included trips to Banff
and Whistler.
