Our order included marinat-
ed lamb chops, chicken breast
presented in a Jermon butter
sauce topped with capers, scal-
lopine funghi and a spicy penne
arrabbiata pasta. The dishes
were hot, the conversation stim-
ulating and the atmosphere bois-
terously informal.

Unfortunately our deep-fried
calamari was missing in action,
but cur waiter radioed in the
oversight and roared back to
Roma to retrieve it. Room
Service head office, like any
good maitre d’, immediately
called, apologized and offered
to pay ior the overlooked order,
which was delivered later in our
meal. We finished with a slice of
Rorna’s creamy white chocolate
macadamia cheesecake,
uncorked a dusty bottle of bub-
bly from the extensive Table
Hopping wine cellar and
danced the riight away.

said for the intimate new past-
time of culinary cocooning as

Service.
