&6ers set to kick off

open their inaugural Canndian
Soccer League season at home
June 7 against the Edn:onton Brick

The 86ers’ 20-game schedule was
ratified at the recent league board
of governors meeting held at the
“end of February in Vancouver and
provides the 86ers with seven Sun-
day night games at Swangard
Stadium along with two Wednes-
days and one Tuesday night home

game.

Eight of the 86ers° first 11 games
will be at home before Vancouver
embarks on a three-week, seven-
game road trip to every other city
in the league in August, when

balanced but says, “With Van-
couver unable to play at home in
August and Toronto unable to
play at home in July because of the
World Youth Championships, it’s

schedule is in place we can get on
with the job of filling the stadium
and winning soccer games.”’

All 86ers’ home games will
kick-off at 7:30 p.m. at Swangard
Stadium, although there is a pos-
sibility two home games may be
moved to 4:30 p.m. to facilitate a
proposed national television con-
tract.
