TENDERS have been called for a
contract to build the Mamquam
River Bridge and approaches at
Centennial Parkway and Gov-
ernment Road in the District
Municipality of Squamish.

The project site is located over
the Mamquam River about 2.6 km
north of the Highway 99 and
Cleveland Avenue intersection.

- Closing date for tenders is
January 7, 1987.

Work will include the construc-
tion of a three-span steel stringer
bridge 81 metres long and 13
metres wide with two sidewalks.

The bridge will be supported on
two abutments and two piers, all
on steel pipe piles.

The job also includes the con-
struction of about 650 metres of
approach roads, demolition and
removal of the existing bridge, and
the installation of roadway
lighting.

The scheduled completion date
is Sept. 30, 1987.
