FOUR North Vancouver men were among 84
people arrested in a series of police raids on
homes in the Lower Mainland early Tuesday
morming culminating a six-month undercover
investigation into “fencing” of stolen property.

Undercover agents spent
approximately $17,000 on

purchases of property worth
more than $300,000.

Inspector Doug Nichol of
Vancouver City Police, said
sapphires valued at about
$50,000 were seized in North
Vancouver and that customs
and excise officers were
checking the matter of
importation. ,

said, one of the suspects
asked an undercover officer
if he wanted to buy some
