upstairs of her brand new

house on Grouse Mountain

Wednesday night.

The owner of the house at
5439 Nancy Green Way, Ali
Amiraslany, had left a
candle burning on a dresser
in the master bedroom as the

house, which had only just
been built, was not ‘hooked
up for electricity.

After he went out, the
candle melted down and
ignited the dresser, with the
fire spreading through the
upstairs area. -

sleeping upstairs at the time..
When his wife went upstairs
to attend to.a baby who was

crying she found thé house

‘The woman grabbed her
baby. while a neighbor who
had™séen the flames arrived
to help.

The fire burned upstairs
rooms and caused extensive
smoke damage to the rest of
the house. Damage is
