Former NS musicians emerge as ‘Silverlode’

Following successful gigs and finest studio has been

at the Raven, Grouse chosen to record the first leg
Mountain and other Lower

Mainland establishments.
Silverlode get their first
large audience exposure on
Sunday, June 22 at the Soft
Rock Cafe.

This contemporary pop
duo consists of expatriate
North Vancouverite’s Geoff
Gibbons (Deep Cove) and
Ken Kirschner (Lynn
Valley). They possess an
exciting West Coast sound
all their own with roots in
folk, cguntry, and rock. Put
the tunes of Simon and
Garfunkel, Seals and Crofts,
Loggins and Messina, in
your ostenzer, blend them
well and you might end up
with something like
Suverlode.

When Geoff and Ken sang
together at an audition two
years ago they liked the
sound, but at took Geoff's
odyssey to Australia to
create Silverlode His letters
convinced Ken to drop
“Down Under” to youn him in
bagging rays, hunting
sheilas,  quaffing Fourex
beer, and playing bars on the
Gold Coast

As Stilverlode, Geoff and
Ken are making a senous

of what will hopefully be the
Silveriode album.
