new and beautiful fabric to
fashion new lampshades out of
old ones.

“People bring their lamp-
shades that are worn out and
want them replaced; perhaps as
they were 70 years ago,” said
Dennis. “And the idea of re
cling is so suitable for modern
thinking about the environ-

“Because I specialized in
lighting, I became very inter-
ested in hand-made lamp-
shades,” she said, adding she
took her training in England
“many years ago.

say how long Ive been doing
this,” Dennis laughs, fualiy
adding “since she ‘60s I
gucss.”
