NORWEGIAN Cruise
Lines (NCL) enter-
tained travel agents
aboard the newly-
=Stretched Norwegian
Wind last Monday at
Ballantyne Pier.

A management team from
the company’s western North
American sales force was on
hand to show off the vessel
which began its Vancouver to
Alaska route the same day.

The Norwegian Wind
underwent an cight-week,
$69 million (U.S.) lengthen-
ing and refurbishment at the
Lloyd Werft shipyard in
Bremerhaven, Germany earlier
this year adding a 130-ft mid-
section. “The stem to stem
renovation essentially trans-

~ formed the Norwegian Wind
into an entirely new ship”,
says Hans E. Golreus, NCL's
president and chief operating
officer.
