The fabled moniker makes its return this winter as the badge of an ali-new, entry-priced sports coupe from the Japanese car manufacture. The front-wheel-drive 200SX will be built at Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee, plan -—~ the biggest automobile production plant under one roof anywhere in North America. The plant, which also manufactures Sentra and Altima sedans andthe Nissan range of pickup trucks, is responsible for more than 70% of Nissan's total Canadian saies. THE PACIFIC Region of the Red Cross has announced that the Society will be providing a service to people who need special med- ica! equipment in their homes for ; long periods of time. : “The Aids to Inde pendent Living Project (AIL) is yet anoth- er community-based program offered through the Red Cross to people who need our services.” said project co-ordinator, Kathy Kennedy. “The AIL program works with occupational therapists from the ealth ‘units of Vancouver, . Richmond, Burnaby,'the North Shore and Simon Fraser to provide medical assistive devices to Continuing Care clients in the Lower Mainland who are living in their own homes,” she said. “Over 500 clients applied to the project last year. As a result, over 700 pieces of equipment were provided from the inventory, and staff worked with other com- munity agencies to secure a fur- ther 125 devices,” she said.
